Craft Clubs

Calling all crafty cats and kittens! Black Cat Fables is excited to offer two new craft clubs: Knit One, Purrl Two and Friday Crafternoons. Whether you love to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, embroider, or just unwind with a mellow activity, our craft clubs provide the perfect opportunity to develop your skills, discover new techniques, and engage in everything from deep thoughts to hot goss with fellow crafters.

What to Expect:

  • Free & Low-Cost Participation: Joining Knit One, Purrl Two is absolutely free! We want to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all crafters. Friday Crafternoons are DIY craft kits available for purchase for as little as $10.
  • Community Connection: Meet like-minded individuals, make new friends, and become part of a vibrant community of crafty kittens.
  • Convenient Schedules: We offer craft club meetings at various times to accommodate different schedules, making it easy for you to join in the fun.

Knit One, Purrl Two

Introducing Black Cat Fables' monthly club for knitters, crocheters, embroiderers and cross-stitchers! Bring your project-in-progress, meet fellow crafters, and hone your skills or learn new ones from our resident expert. This club is free to join and registration is not required. We will have some supplies on hand available for purchase for any last-minute needs. This craft club is intended for participants age 13 and up.

Knit One, Purrl Two meets the first Saturday of each month from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Drop in anytime!

Friday Crafternoons

On the second Friday of each month, drop by Black Cat Fables for a DIY craft kit! These kits include everything you need to make a fun craft either in our shop or later at home. Crafts will vary from month to month, so be sure to check our Instagram for the latest information on what's available! Intended age range will always be provided with the kit.

Friday Crafternoons are scheduled the second Friday of each month from 4:00-6:00pm.

Our Craft Club Commitment

To ensure our craft clubs remain a welcoming and safe space for all members, we ask that participants agree to the following:

  1. Respect and Inclusivity: Treat all members with kindness and respect. Discrimination, hate speech, or harmful behavior will not be tolerated.
  2. Confidentiality: What’s shared in the group stays in the group. Personal stories or opinions discussed during meetings should remain private unless explicitly stated otherwise by the speaker.
  3. Open-Mindedness: We’re here to share ideas and learn new skills from one another. Participate respectfully and engage with curiosity, even when opinions differ.
  4. No Judgment Zone: We celebrate varying levels of participation. Whether you’re brand new to crafting or a seasoned expert, your presence is welcome here.
