Books

Please note that all book sales are final. Books are non-refundable and non-returnable; however, we are happy to exchange books in their original, unread condition within 30 days of purchase. A receipt is required for all exchanges. In the event that you received a book as a gift, a gift receipt is required to verify purchase and process the exchange.

General Merchandise & Non-Book Items

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Event Registration

All event registrations and ticket purchases made through Black Cat Fables are final and non-refundable. This policy applies to all events, including but not limited to, workshops, seminars, readings, signings, and special events organized by Black Cat Fables.

  • Cancelation by Attendee: If you are unable to attend the event for any reason, please note that we do not offer refunds or credits.
  • Transfer to Future Events: If you notify Black Cat Fables at least 7 days in advance of the event you are unable to attend and there are open spots in your preferred future event, we will gladly transfer your registration to that event. We regret that requests made within 7 days of the event can not be accommodated.
  • Event Changes or Cancelations: In the unlikely event that Black Cat Fables cancels an event, registrants will be notified as soon as possible. In such cases, we will provide a full refund or offer an alternative event date.

Merchandise by Vendor “Printify”

Some of the merchandise we offer through our online store at www.blackcatfables.com may be produced and distributed through a third-party vendor Printify. Printify is an on-demand company, which means that all products are unique and produced only once ordered. Items produced and distributed by Printify are marked with Printify as the vendor on the product page.

Returns and exchanges for Printify products are not supported if you order the wrong size, color, or simply change your mind. However, in case of a damaged product or a manufacturing error, Printify offers a free reprint or refund if you contact us within 30 days of product delivery.

Returns Process

All returns and exchanges must be made in person at our store. Please bring the item in its original condition, along with your receipt, within 30 days of purchase. Books are eligible for exchange only; non-book items may be eligible for return or exchange based on condition. We’re here to help — visit us during store hours for assistance!

If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. 

If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at info@blackcatfables.com.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like books, perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

For Orders Placed Through Bookshop.org

Bookshop.org is a third-party entity linked through our site. Orders placed through Bookshop.org may be returned within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund of the cost of the books returned plus any applicable taxes. However, if you’ve received damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped merchandise, please contact Bookshop.org customer support as soon as possible at https://support.bookshop.org/en/support/tickets/new. To ensure your package is processed correctly, please return the package to the address indicated below and display the order number prominently on the packaging. The cost of shipping will be your responsibility. To expedite the processing of your return, we ask that you relay the tracking number of said return to info@bookshop.org along with your order number. We recommend utilizing USPS Media Mail for all returned orders. If you have any further questions regarding your return, please reach out to info@bookshop.org.
