Join us and Michelle of Figment & Fable for a hands-on workshop at Black Cat Fables where you'll hand-carve your own rubber stamp! You will learn how to carve an everyday eraser into a stamp using tools and materials provided. Step-by-step guidance will be provided in this workshop; no experience necessary.

You can choose from several pre-made designs or choose to design your own. This workshop is a great way to relax and create with a friend. By the end of the workshop you will have 1-2 stamps to take home and the opportunity to make a few cards to lend a personal touch to your next gift.

What to Expect:

  • Step-by-step instructions to create your own custom rubber stamp.
  • All materials provided, including erasers and card supplies.
  • A fun, relaxed atmosphere to explore your creativity while connecting with others.

About your instructor, Michelle:
Michelle Lee is an artist and avid crafter local to Monrovia. She is the owner of Figment and Fable; when she is not exhibiting at an artist venue, she is creating in her studio or assisting at the local ceramics workspace.  Her works are whimsical and aspire to bring a little joy to the spaces they reside in. Michelle is a member of the Monrovia Association of Fine Arts.

  • Registration closes 24 hours prior to the workshop date.
  • Our workshops are designed to start promptly, respecting the value of your time. To ensure a smooth start, please arrive 5-10 minutes early for sign-in.
  • We understand that unforeseen circumstances may cause late arrivals. However, please note that arrivals more than 15 minutes late may need to catch up on their own. Unfortunately, we cannot allow participation for those arriving 30 or more minutes after the class has started.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop due to insufficient registration numbers. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, you can use your reservation for another workshop of equal value or pay the difference between workshops.
  • Refunds are otherwise not available for our events under any circumstances. However, you can transfer your reservation to another workshop of equal value or pay the difference between workshops.
  • Please note that we may take photos during the workshop to use on social media. If you prefer not to be photographed, notify the teacher upon arrival.
