About Amanda:
Amanda is an avid sewist and lover of all things creative & sustainable. Her sewing journey started with a simple machine and a vision to upcycle thrifted clothing. After gaining confidence, Amanda started sewing her own clothing with the goal of crafting an entirely handmade wardrobe. Her sewing projects focus on using discarded or deadstock fabric, destined for the landfill, to create beauty and reduce textile waste. It’s her passion to spread a love of sewing to the greater community.
Amanda is a former middle grade teacher, a current toddler mom, and a sewing instructor at Remainders Creative Reuse in Pasadena. You can find her on Instagram at AmandaTheMaker
