August – October 2025: Writer's Discussion Group

Join us and local writer and editor Sara for a writer's discussion group series! Meetings take place from August to October, 2025; the full schedule is listed below. This group is for adults age 18 and up, and spaces are limited! Registration for this series is free but required for the session(s) you wish to attend. Participants are not required to attend all sessions but may if they want to! Sara will email registrants with more details and instructions after sign-up.

About this Discussion Group:
This Writer's Discussion Group is a space for writers to come together to receive support and feedback. We welcome all levels, whether you are a new writer ready to share your work for the first time or a seasoned author looking to improve your prose. Submissions can be of any genre, including fiction, short stories, plays, and poetry. 

Before each monthly meeting, each writer will turn in a short submission via email, which may be an excerpt of a longer piece. Each group participant will read the submissions before the session and give feedback orally when we meet. Our goal is to help each writer see the strengths in their writing, identify areas that can be improved, and, above all, to build a community of writers to inspire and support each other.

About Sara:
Sara is a writer & editor who believes in the power of stories to create community. She has a background in journalism and academic writing and now focuses on fiction, having recently completed her first novel. She has experience editing novels, short stories, news, and legal writing.
